Rural communities face a unique set of health disparities that are not seen in urban areas, largely because of structural urbanism: the elements of our health care system that disadvantage rural communities as they seek to enhance, maintain or rebuild health care infrastructure to support population health.
And migrant workers and farmworkers in rural communities experience an additional set of challenges in accessing mental health services, such as language barriers, difficulty obtaining insurance and disruptions in coverage when moving across state lines. Utilizing telehealth in rural communities can assist in overcoming barriers to equitable care and increase access and quality.
Join us Thursday, June 22, 2-3 p.m. ET, for Part 3 of our Rural Telehealth webinar series, Telehealth Programs to Support Agricultural Workers, when experts at Finger Lakes Community Health will discuss their integrated telehealth program and how they use it to serve migrant workers and farmworkers more effectively in rural areas.
After attending this webinar, you will be able to:

- Identify best practices for utilizing telehealth in rural integrated care.
- Discuss Finger Lakes Community Health integrated telehealth program and how it’s used to serve migrant workers and farmworkers more effectively in rural areas.
