Prioritizing Equity in the 2024 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (NSSP)
Join us Tuesday, July 30, 2:15-3:45 p.m. ET for Prioritizing Equity in the 2024 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention (NSSP), hosted by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Recent data shows suicide rates on the rise, especially for at-risk and marginalized populations. The recently released National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and accompanying Federal Action Plan are critical updates to strengthening our suicide prevention and crisis response efforts. They outline detailed objectives, goals and actions to help bolster supports and prevent future tragedies.
Presenters for this webinar, who include lead authors and plan architects, will explore the strategy and discuss actions that providers can take while focusing on health equity and incorporating diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) principles.
