Begin your Trauma-informed, Resilience-oriented, Equity-focused Systems (TIROES) journey by supporting inclusivity through your entire organization! Please join Terence Fitzgerald, PhD, EdM, MSW, on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. ET for Approaching TIROES from Within: Promoting Inclusivity Through Your Entire Organization, an event that will discuss trauma, systemic racism and the detrimental effects of both on organizational processes. During this one-hour training, attendees will explore resources and skills to avoid retraumatization among staff and assess practices for diverse organizations.
This introductory training is for local and state government agencies, mental health and substance use treatment providers and nonclinical organizations that wish to introduce TIROES approaches to their entire staff. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion after the training. This training is $90 per participant.
Learning Objectives:
1) Explore trauma, its impacts and effects on historically marginalized staff that lack a TIROES approach
2) Develop procedures and practices that consider the effects of systemic racism, childhood and racial trauma for all organizations
3) Utilize principles of cultural humility and TIROES approaches to avoid re-traumatization for all staff
