The National Council for Mental Wellbeing is pleased to offer a new virtual opportunity for training in YSBIRT!
If you are an administrator or clinician who is new to YSBIRT or looking for an overview, this three-hour training is just for you. Participants will learn:
- How YSBIRT fits in the context of health and providing whole-person, integrated and trauma informed systems of care.
- The use of evidence-based screening tools for adolescents to identify risk levels of alcohol and drug use.
- The role of brief interventions to increase engagement, elicit behavior change and reduce counterproductive discussions.
- Referral and treatment best practices for managing and supporting people with substance use disorders.
We require that each participant register and complete payment individually. We are unable to provide group discounts at this time.
Each participant is also required to have their own login device, preferably with webcam access and stable internet connection to enhance learning and facilitate participation in activities throughout the training.
Please be aware that the email you use to register is the email you must use to login and that the time of the training is stated in Eastern Time Zone (please adjust to your time zone accordingly).
