Howard L. Forman, MD

Howard L. Forman, MD, is the behavioral health medical director of the Montefiore Care Management Organization. In this role, he oversees the mental health benefits for approximately 215,000 New Yorkers in the Bronx and the lower Hudson Valley. Previously, he spent nearly a decade directing the Addiction Psychiatry Consultation Service at Montefiore Medical Center.

Outside of his work at Montefiore, Dr. Forman is a recognized expert on the intersection of psychiatry and safety. He has consulted with the U.S. Department of Labor on several occasions to enhance worker safety in psychiatric settings. He is board-certified in psychiatry, forensic psychiatry and addiction medicine.
